A lecture campaign held earlier this year lead to the Dutch Donald Duck weekly becoming the winner of the Disney Global Publishing Marketing Award 2005. The award will be presented in October 2005 by the Vice President of Disney Global Publishing during the Buchmesse in Frankfurt.
During this much talked about campaign no less than 15,000 lecture packages were requested by pupils in just two weeks' time and sent to schools all over the Netherlands. The packages contained information for pupils to lecture on Donald Duck. Not only individual classes, but entire schools as well were involved in this initiative.
