AddressFinder, a service developed by Genimap, WSOY's location information specialist, is prominently present on Nokia's new 9210 Communicator as a preloaded WAP bookmark on units supplied to customers in Finland.
Using the new Communicator's powerful platform and display, Genimap AddressFinder enables users to view full-colour maps of locations. Company information from Eniro's corporate database can also be displayed where appropriate. The plan is to add a route planning option at a later stage.
"The new service is the first time mobile users have had the opportunity to access colour maps. Combined with the possibility to display company information for specific locations, this offers a valuable value-added service to users," says Genimap's Mikko Salonen.
"The service is a logical continuation of Genimap's, Nokia's, and Eniro's long history of collaboration."
