Press Release 27/08/2010 at 13:15
Sanoma will concentrate its B2B businesses by transferring Esmerk, a provider of information and media monitoring services, from Sanoma News division to Sanoma Learning & Literature division. Esmerk and AAC Global, a provider of language services, will constitute a new B2B service entity as of 1 September 2010.
"The underlying reason for the transfer is Sanoma's strategic objective of developing and growing its B2B businesses. We want to respond to the changing needs of our customers and utilise the internal synergies within the Group," says Hannu Syrjänen, President and CEO of Sanoma.
"The transfer will improve the possibilities for co-operation between Esmerk and AAC Global. Together the units will be better positioned to develop their operations and provide new innovative B2B services. We are supporting the international growth and operations of our corporate customers in a global business environment through reliable information and language services," says Director Tuomo Räsänen of Sanoma Learning & Literature.
"Close co-operation with AAC Global will have an obvious positive effect on Esmerk and its customers. The arrangement will secure Esmerk's prerequisites for growth. It will also enable us to provide our customers with more comprehensive services," says Derek Cox, Managing Director of Esmerk.
The arrangement will not affect personnel, nor will the name or corporate structure of Esmerk change.
